Chapter 850 Oversight-1

After an hour of running around, Elise was tired. In this time, they circled the whole place, let out other horses which Samuel promptly pacified.

He could understand why they were so uneasy, the ranch was too small for them to move around. He decided to let them do as they pleased just like how horses in the Estate granted that they stayed out of the front garden. The French government wouldn't be too happy seeing these horses damage the cultural site.

As he was relaxing on lying on the ground thinking about these things, Elise's voice disturbed his thoughts.

" Sami! Sami!" She came running toward him taking a seat beside him.

" What? what happened? Are you ready to go inside? Are you feeling cold?" he asked.

" No, I wanted to show Aunt Kayla and Aunt Mayra these horses but..I don't know their names."

" Are you missing them already? It's only been a day and you are already bored with me?" He asked with a look of disbelief. A sad expression enveloped his face, it was just an act to tease her.

" No, no." She leapt in his arm tackling him to the ground just as she was about to apologise he started laughing and pinching his fluffy cheeks.

" Bad Sami!" She realised what was going on as she started throwing hands at his face, there wasn't any intent to hurt him so he knew she wasn't really angry but he enjoyed her cute expressions.

After calming down she said in a low voice," I just want everyone to be together."

" I see." He patted her head.

She proceeded to tell him how it would be wonderful, with Kayla, Mayra, Adele, Iblis, Samuel's parents and grandparents and even Hannah they could have a big party like what they had during Christmas.

" Yes, I will be sad too."

" Then?"

" It's alright. I will always wait Sami to come back."

" Good girl, I know my princess is the smartest kid in the world!" He hugged her again seeing her heart felt smile.

He knew Elise needed a lot of support but through her he seemed to realise a lot about himself. Despite having all the knowledge in the world it wouldn't be able to beat the actual experience no matter how much he tried.

He wanted her to live like a normal child but at the same time he knew that he wouldn't be there to shield her from everything. Just like how she shut down because of Helga's injury, he wanted to have some emotional stability so that he wouldn't be too worried about her when he was away.

Accompanying her was just as important to him as the business of Delphina. In few weeks, he had to start shooting his next movie which means he couldn't just fly to her when she needs him.

He had to have a serious conversation with Kayla and Mayra before leaving. He contemplated whether to call them right now or not when someone came running carrying his phone.

" Did they wake up already?" He thought. He was sure he left the phone in his room. With Katarina and Roberta still sleeping, Henri shouldn't be able to go inside.

" Why don't you play with the horsies while I take this call?" He said to Elise before looking at who was calling him.

Elise readily agreed, after their little talk she had rested enough. Kids truly have immense energy especially when well rested. She even forgot that she was hungry before she started playing with him.

Meanwhile Samuel saw the caller ID and was surprised because he didn't expect her call him out of the blue.
