Chapter 115 Obsession
Chapter 115 Obsession
Meow~
A furry creature rubbed against Hermione's leg.
Hermione abandoned her idea of trying to fix Harry's broken mind and bent down to pick up Crookshanks.
"Hey little guy, having fun?"
Actually, Hermione could have taken Crookshanks with her when she was in first grade, but at that time she hadn't fully explored the wizarding world, so she gave up the idea of taking Crookshanks with her.
She needs to establish a base first, otherwise Crookshan will be overwhelmed if she comes to the magical world unprepared.
Before getting on the vehicle, Hermione was really worried that Crookshanks would be bored, so she opened the cage and let the little guy out for a walk.
Who knew that Crookshan would suddenly disappear without a trace.
She figured no one would hurt it anyway—it was wearing the Rozier family collar—which she had asked Rand to do for it.
Let them run then.
Harry and Hermione were the only two people in the carriage. Hermione enjoyed Harry's envious gaze, and stroked Crookshanks' reflective fur, feeling very comfortable.
Until Ron angrily pushed open the carriage door.
"Hey Hermione, so this creature is your cat! It hurt my Scabbers, do you know that?"
The questioning tone made Hermione feel a little annoyed.
Perhaps it was because she had been around Rand for so long that the unspoken fear and flattery from others had become a habit for her.
So when Hermione heard Ron's dissatisfied and accusatory tone, her fingers paused, and she looked up at Ron, her smile completely gone.
Are you... questioning me?
His tone was so light it was almost gentle, yet it made Ron feel the air suddenly tighten.
"You...you, it's your cat, but it hurt my Banban!!"
He repeated it again.
Hermione stopped arguing and simply asked, "Crooked Hill is very well-behaved. What did your Scabbers do?"
With a single sentence, the blame was shifted onto Ron's Scabbers.
Ron's eyes reddened as he carefully took the little mouse out of his arms.
"Look!"
Hermione glanced at it briefly and said helplessly, "Ron, I think you know that catching mice is in a cat's nature. But... seeing that your mouse is injured, take it and treat it."
She took a bottle of potion out of her pocket and handed it to Ron.
Ron was about to say something more when Hermione gave him a gentle smile. "Ron, are you sure you want to cause trouble for your friend?"
Ron stopped, glanced at Harry as he left the carriage, and slumped his shoulders.
Harry watched from the sidelines, exclaiming "Awesome!" and gave Hermione a thumbs-up after Ron left.
"Holy crap, Hermione, where did you learn that? Teach me, and I'll never call you a 'cargo' again!"
Hermione rolled her eyes at Harry, finding the situation quite complicated.
"Aren't you going to stand up for your good friend?"
Harry smiled broadly. "What are you saying, Hermione? She's our good friend."
"Heh," it's filled with black sesame.
The carriage fell silent once more, and Hermione's bracelet vibrated.
She didn't open it, but simply touched Crookshanks, thoughtfully saying, "Harry, do you think... that professor knew all along that there would be Dementors?"
"Click"
The thing in my hand was broken.
"I've already become intelligent, I don't need your hints, thank you, please treat me as someone with brains."
Hermione lowered her head and drank her water with satisfaction.
Once you're enlightened, that's enough; once you know what you're supposed to do, that's enough.
Her persistence turned into an obsession, and she no longer needed to say anything about many things.
Once a person develops a sense of dependence, it's like a kindergarten child waiting to be picked up after school.
If someone picks it up, it's a treasure; if no one picks it up, it's an abandoned child.
Harry didn't want to become an outcast; his feelings were completely invested in Rand.
Hermione and Harry exchanged a smile, the color in their eyes satisfying them both.
Back when Hermione was trying to brainwash Harry, she discovered that he had already successfully brainwashed himself.
So Hermione didn't hesitate and opened her bracelet to reply to the message.
Isn't this also a statement from Harry?
Meanwhile, Landric, who had been secretly sending a message to Hermione's bracelet, received the "OK" message with satisfaction.
