Chapter 859: Time to move
During this period, Rain's focus was primarily directed toward bonding with and getting closer to his own children. As a result, he didn't invest a lot of time and attention in Jori's kids, but he made efforts to memorize their names at least and recognize their appearances.
Although he didn't talk a lot with them, he had some insights into the kind of individuals they were based on limited interactions and observations.
Fil was the elder son; he had a quiet demeanor and a contemplative nature, very different from when he was a kid. Fil tended to be reserved, preferring introspection and observation over speaking out. He displayed a keen sense of responsibility and maturity beyond his years.
The youngest son's name was Raws, he was more outgoing and he liked to talk with Danny. He exuded energy and enthusiasm, often seeking new challenges and experiences. It didn't take long for him to ask what Danny had just learned from his father. Raws was known for his curiosity and knack for finding excitement in various ways.
The older daughter, Lore, possessed a strong sense of empathy and compassion. She had a caring nature, always attentive to others' emotions and needs. Lore was also known for her creativity and artistic talents, often expressing herself through various forms of art, she liked to kill time by making statues with earth magic based on the fighting stances of the people around.
The youngest daughter, Carmi, had a spirited and independent personality. She exhibited a determination to pursue her interests and had a knack for leadership. Carmi was assertive and confident, unafraid to voice her opinions and take charge of situations. She would often do that since their parents and the rest of the family were too wild.
"Are you guys going to return to the dungeons soon?" Rain asked after one week had passed.
"We are still trying to learn that weird technique," Terra said. "It is annoying that we can only use it when you use your domain."
The pain wouldn't last forever, it actually would disappear pretty fast and she would be able to keep doing the same thing.
"Although I said that, I wouldn't recommend that since you could end up suffering brain damage that could last for a while... in that case, I would recommend you to attack the fists or the legs of the opponent," Rain said. "Attacking kicks against punches can be dangerous as well, but it can be faster."
As Rain provided those explanations and insights, everyone in the group nodded in agreement. His explanations were very logical as usual, resonating with their understanding of the dynamics within Terra's skills. His guidance and instructions often made sense within the context of their training.
Despite acknowledging the value of Rain's teachings and explanations, the group also had a curiosity about their own progress in terms of their fighting styles and skills. They felt a strong desire to ask Rain's opinion and feedback regarding their individual fighting techniques and approaches.
However, despite their eagerness, there had a sense of uncertainty among them. They weren't entirely certain about the extent of their improvement or how much their fighting styles had evolved, Rain knew even less. Recognizing their own weaknesses and vulnerabilities, they were acutely aware of the areas they needed to address and improve upon.
Asking Rain would be the same as forcing their burdens again on him. They wanted to graduate from that in order to avoid the same thing happening again... the same result as the last war.
"... We should return to the dungeons tomorrow and resume our training," Terra suddenly declared once she realized that they were taking too much of his time by staying behind.
"You should go with him, Terra," Leiah suddenly said.
