Chapter 286 [Protect Adam!]

"[World Magic: The Heaven's Wheel!]"

His eyes looked at the sky, as if analyzing the very existence of it. Fixing it slowly, one bit at a time. And threads of fates, which were invisible to the mortal eye, started becoming more apparent. Hundreds of thousands of those threads were connected to him, as they carried the destiny of those around him, while he smiled as he changed the accursed fate of everyone present.

Even though it was the first time people were witnessing the threads of fate, finding a black thread connected to their heart gave an ominous feeling to them, as if their fate had been sentenced to a cruel ending. And then as Adam's white coloured threads cut those black threads before replacing them with a white coloured thread, they felt as if they had been given a second life to live.

"STOP HIM!!!!" Laplace shouted as he saw that phenomenon happening in front of him. All that effort that he had done was turning into nothing as Adam was fixing everything. And even if he wanted to stop Adam, he had to wait for a few minutes to recover his health back to full.

Using that Artifact had taken too much of a toll on him, rendering him weak, unable to do anything and simply watch everything unfold as he regenerated his energy and health.

Time... Time was of essence.

Laplace's 12 Generals ran towards Adam, each of them aiming to slit his throat.

"You dare!"

A feminine voice reverberated Equi stood in between Adam and the 12 Generals, before taking out [Chalice of Equilibrium!], and then chanting,

"[Equivalent Exchange: Reverberation!]"

And then a single sound resounded in front of Equi, which then echoed in front of each of the Generals, before creating a high pitched sonic explosive sound, pushing the 12 of them away.

While half of them were pushed back, the others used their skills to bypass that magic before running towards Adam, ignoring Equi all together. Equi was about to chant her magic again, but before she could even try...

-Whoosh!!!!

-Wing!

One of the Generals, the one specialized in speed, and another one, specialised in teleportation, reached closer to Adam, almost enough to kill him.

-CLANK! BOOOOM!!!

-BAM!!!!!!

An angel, one stronger, way stronger than the others appeared pushing one of the generals away. While a vampire, that was somehow able to walk in the sun, appeared and pushed away the one that used teleportation.

"YOU BASTARDS!!!" Laplace shouted as he saw the way that the mortals began gathering around Adam. It wasn't just those five but more of those Angels and Demons have begun appearing in between, stopping not only the Generals but also the Giants from approaching Adam.

"Prithvi! Spiritus!" Laplace called out the Titans in desperation, while the Titans nodded as they all ran towards Adam. But then again, another force was present in between them,

"As if we would let you!!" Castellina shouted, while Hecate created a big earth wall between the group of and Adam. As for Helios, he went against Prithvi on his own, pushing him away from Adam as much as he could.

"Arwin. Move," Spiritus commanded but the All-Father simply smiled," not so casual anymore?" And then moved in for another attack, pushing him back as well. Spiritus tried creating some spirits near Adam, but was stopped by the All-Father with ease.

"Useless!" Laplace shouted as he saw that his power was now enough to let him get closer to Adam himself. Although it will put him at a risk of getting injured again, he didn't mind as he used [Teleportation!] to reach closer to Adam.

But it didn't work.

His eyes slowly turned towards the source of his disruption, and his eyes narrowed at the girl who could barely walk on her own right now. Supported by the Heaven's Guardian, she chanted a bit of her magic, as she blocked Laplace's teleportation.

"Luciana... you bitch!"

Consumed by anger, Laplace then began walking towards Adam by himself, each of his steps reducing the distance between both of them. His powers returning to normal with every step that he was taking, making him move faster with each passing moment.

And as the steps got closer, he found more and more interruptions in between them. Though he calculated that with the amount of energy he had, in the next few seconds, his generals should be able to break the defence and get Adam.

But...

As if fate itself was waiting for this moment, a few more Goddesses appeared. The other 7 Higher Gods, the one that ruled the 7 Nations, appeared right in front of Adam.

Among them, Alepsia, the Goddess of Light, looked at Adam with a kind smile as she spoke,"Always over doing it, aren't you?"

"Ain't this fine?" Adam answered with a smile, while he kept observing the sky, fixing it with every passing moment.

"Sorry we are late, had to deal with the otherside. Just relax and finish this, okay? Let's meet after we are finished with this," Alepsia cheered him up before turning to look at the Generals and Laplace. Her eyes turned golden as a certain dominance appeared in them before she spoke out loud,

"You dare to show your power in my presence, in my own nation, Laplace?"

And then as her entire body started glowing, she chanted,

"[World Magic: The First Light!]"
